ienb is active in the social civil society and carries out assignments for organizations and (local) governments. Thereby focusing especially on young people, housing, safety and welfare.
ienb develops and implements projects, programs and policies, advising on content and organization and uitvoeren process management in complex situations and changes in organizations and society.
ienb has an open and direct way of communicating and is able at any level and with everyone to engage in the conversation. Cooperation is not a goal in itself for ienb, but binding the right parties on a case worthwhile and important certaintly is.
ienb has extensive work experience, is accustomed to working in various functions and environments, well informed of current developments and combines that with a positive critical view and strong analytical skills.
ienb feels at home within heterogeneous environments and complex and somewhat chaotic situations, is good at improvising and finding creative solutions and has an eye for the (importance of the) process and the different interests.
Young people need to grow up safe and healthy so that they become independent adults who can take responsibility for themselves and the world around them. For many young people this is not self-evident: they grow up in a risky environment and are struggling to find their own way and make the right choices. ienb works with the social and professional network around them, to reduce risks and optimize opportunities.
On this theme, ienb developed plans for young people (groups) on the streets, advised municipalities and organizations on strengthening parental involvement, coached youth workers improved cooperation around risky 12-, initiated girls panels that advises on proper forms of youth-care.
Living in a big city, under difficult circumstances makes successful coexistence with neighbours not easy and often leads to undesirable situations such as fights and threats (verbal and physical) violence or isolation and broken relationships indoors and outdoors. In such complex living situations, it is important to ensure the stability or improve the situation, in clear solutions with all stakeholders.
ienb developed an approach for complex living situations that demonstrably leads to results and consists of a compact analysis, targeted actions and cooperation, involvement of residents and solution process management. In addition, ienb conducted research on the prevention of eviction, case consultations and developed methods for conducting effective home visits in porches and residential complexes in major cities.
The society is complex and personal circumstances, disappointments, wrong choices or difficult to modifiable factors often make it even more complicated. This often leads also to unsafe living conditions in the private sphere or the environment. It is therefore important that preventive policies, minimize chances of unsafe situations and that effective interventions and approaches are used that have a corrective effect.
ienb did a lot of work on the grounds of safety and helped strengthening the aftercare afterimprisonment, chaired risk consulting by the Safety House and developed an approach to nuisance and crime families. Further more, ienb advised on youth crime and contributed to improving the prevention, the approach and guidance on domestic violence.
Recent years a number of significant developments have been put in motion around welfare and (youth) care. Key words are: own power, citizenship, space, for talents and initiatives own direction. Using these frameworks require knowledge, experience and vision. This means: know about change, take participation seriously, know how to combine the formal and informal circuits and have an eye for the position and opportunities of vulnerable groups.
From various positions ienb participated in the creation of new youth (aid) organizations and enhancing the quality of youth and women’s shelters. ienb implemented youth participation projects, developed innovation projects and helped organizations helped to improve the service and formulate and realize vision and direction on issues such as informal care, shelter and girls assistance
